The Beginning with Rosie

Our story began with Fiona's own Newfoundland dog, Rosie. In 2009, Rosie was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. Determined to help, Fiona searched for a high-quality fish oil supplement but found nothing in New Zealand that met her standards. So, she decided to create it herself.

Creating the First Product

Drawing on her vet nursing background, Fiona formulated a pure hoki fish oil – the first of its kind in NZ – to support Rosie's heart and coat. The results were astounding:

• Rosie's energy bounced back

• Her coat gleamed

• Even her vet noticed improvements

Growing into Newflands

Encouraged by Rosie's transformation, Fiona officially launched Newflands in 2010. What started as one life-changing supplement has grown into a full range of pet wellness products:

• Healthy treats for training and nutrition

• Natural supplements for overall wellbeing

Through it all, our vision remains the same: to give pets everywhere longer, happier lives, one natural product at a time. Fiona still leads our small Newflands team, blending science with heart in every new formula.
